The Student Visa (Subclass 500) is designed for international students who wish to pursue full-time studies in Australia.

It allows applicants to enroll in an eligible course at an Australian education provider and, once the course begins, provides the right to work up to 48 hours per fortnight during study periods.

Applicants may also include their spouse or partner and dependent children in the visa application, subject to eligibility requirements.

However, dependent children must generally be school-aged or older than six years, depending on schooling arrangements.
